I recently bought an iPad 2 digitizer from phonelcdwholesale.com , it come fact with iPad 2 touch screen adhesive professional, cost me about 26 USD with lower delivery method. I am new for repair apple device , after I saw some youtube video and some apple forum I start to repair, the most important during repair is Patience. The glass digitizer arrived with bubble for protect, and the outside package also very good. One thing is pity I don’t buy ipad screwdrivers and suction with iPad 2 digitizer together , I must buy it from local store . the one I bought without home button and circuit board. Should take that out from old iPad 2 digitizer and install them to new. I replaced the broken digitizer to new one full afternoon, at first I almost give up. But I held out until the last. No gap and fit very well just like new from apple store.
Following are simple steps, hope it will help you.
1. Use heat gun with low Gear to heat your ipad 2 margins ,keep the heat gun around the iPad Margins, till you feel Back Cover are hot, this step will cost you about 6-8 Minutes. If you don’t have a Heat gun you can use blow-dryer.
2. Use Suction cup from iPad repair screw driver set to develop an gap between back cover and digitizer, then using thin flat pry tool to keep the gap available. This step please go carefully and patiently. If no broken fragment will go in the motherboard, then will cost us more time to clean
3. After we take cracked iPad 2 front glass out, there are much original Adhesive stick to Back Cover also, We must take the adhesive tape out, if you can accept your iPad 2 front glass with gap between Metal and touch screen. Notice Slow and patient again
4. Take iPad 2 home button and circuit board out from old touch screen digitizer. Install the two parts to new glass digitizer.
5. Put iPad 2 profession adhesive tape to right place on new touch screen
6. make sure tuck the digitizer flex cable into the appropriate nook close to back cover as much as possible; if not, may have gap between back cover and touch screen
